PSA Conference 2012
The 62nd Annual Conference of the UKs Political Studies Association will be hosted in Belfast on the 3-5th April 2012, and its theme will be 'In Defence of Politics'. This is the first time in 15 years that the PSA conference has been held on the island of Ireland and we do hope that you will all attend.

Find out more at: www.psa.ac.uk/2012/

We have already had a huge amount of interest in the conference already and we are confident that the traditional Belfast hospitality and our rich political history means we will have no difficulty maximising participation at the conference. Because of this, we would encourage you to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible to be sure that you can benefit from the specially negotiated rates with the conference hotel of just £80 B&B.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to Belfast in 2012 and will be happy to assist those of you planning ‘extra curricular’ activities alongside the conference such as the famous political walking tours of Belfast and the city tour by Black Taxi.

In the meantime, you may also be interested in the University of Ulster research website, www.cain.ulster.ac.uk, for information on the political history and wall murals. The website contains archives from the "Conflict and Politics in Northern Ireland (1968 to the Present)". The Ulster Museum, www.nmni.com/um, has a permanent exhibition on "The Troubles" and the Linenhall Library has an extensive Northern Ireland Political Collection, www.linenhall.com.

If you have any questions/comments or suggestions in relation to the conference we'd be delighted to hear them. Just email papers12@psa.ac.uk with your suggestions and we will get back to you.
