ConferencesThe PSAI holds two conferences each year. Our main conference (and AGM) takes place each October, and we have a Postgraduate Conference each Spring. PSAI Annual Conference The headline theme for this conference will be "Communicating Politics", and it will be held in the Aungier Street complex, in Dublin's city-centre. The conference programme will be issued by the end of June. The 2009 Annual Conference was hosted by the Department of Politics and History at Liverpool Hope University, UK, on the 9-11th October 2009. This was the very first time that the PSAI's annual conference was held outside Ireland and in recognition of this, we had chosen as a headline theme for the conference "Political Relationships between Britain and Ireland". The 2008 Annual Conference was hosted by the School of Political Science and Sociology at the National University of Ireland, Galway, on 17-19th October 2008. The conference highlighted the theme of the politics of peace and conflict. The final programme for the conference is available. The 2007 annual conference was hosted by Dublin City University. It took place on the 19-21 October at Issac's Hotel in central Dublin. Many of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the PSAI took place here. The 2006 Annual Conference was hosted by University College Cork on the 20-22 October.
