PSAI Annual Conference call for papers and panels
The Annual Conference of the Political Studies Association of Ireland (PSAI) will take place in the Limerick Strand Hotel over the weekend of the 12th-14th October 2018. We invite panel and paper proposals from all areas of the discipline, with particular emphasis on, but not necessarily confined to, the politics of the island of Ireland.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
In the case of single paper proposals, please submit an abstract to psaiconference2018@gmail.com by Friday 8th June 2018. This abstract should be submitted as a word attachment and include:
– Paper title,
– Author name(s) and affiliation(s),
– Professional status (PhD student, postdoc, lecturer, professor, independent scholar),
– Summary of the proposed paper (no more than 200 words).
PANEL PROPOSALS
Colleagues are encouraged to submit complete panels (minimum of three papers, maximum of five) on a given subject or theme. This can be done by bringing together other potential panellists yourself, or by contacting the appropriate PSAI specialist group (http://psaiprod.wpengine.com/specialist-groups/).
The conference organisers reserve the final say in the allocation of accepted papers to panels. While multiple abstract submissions are permitted, in general, multiple papers by the same author(s) are discouraged.
All panel proposals must include abstracts and contact details for each paper as above. Proposals should be sent to psaiconference2018@gmail.com by 8th June 2018. Panel organisers are asked to ensure that appropriate attention is given to balance in respect of gender and stage in career development.
ACCEPTANCE
Notification of paper and panel acceptances will be given in early July. Abstracts will be published on the conference website and in the conference programme.
